3 - Le Royal in Biarritz
A rainy afternoon? in the heart of downtown Biarritz, an art cinema awaits you for 7 Euros per screening. Its geographical location is perfect and it offers quality programming all year round.
4 - A stop at Miremont
Since 1872, this historic brand has been serving refined pastries in a Grand Siècle setting. Not to be missed, hot chocolate with toast and Russian: an extraordinary setting, and as a bonus, the view of the ocean!
5 - Take the children to the musée de la mer !
The Biarritz aquarium, formerly the Sea Museum, was created in 1871. The current buildings are from the Art Deco period, dating from 1933 and facing the Rocher de la Vierge! The ideal place to spend an afternoon with your family: don't miss the hammerhead shark or the seal meal every day at 10:30 am and 5 pm!
6 - Our favorite bookstore: the bookstore
In the heart of downtown, come and get a book in this timeless place, where we love everything: not a square meter free, stairs, nooks and crannies, stools, book comment cards: a place where we could stay and leaf through books for hours!
7 - Go to the market in Les Halles
As an institution of local life, Les Halles is the ideal place to go to the market, enjoy a glass of white wine with oysters and meet up with friends. Nothing is missing: florist, cheesemaker, fish, delicatessens, delicatessens and truffle cheeses from Balme... The obligatory passage for gourmets!
8 - Golf: Plenty of choice!
The Basque Country attracts a large number of golfers. If a perfect green exists, this is where you will find it. Biarritz, Anglet, Arcangues, Saint Jean de Luz........ the Basque Country offers no less than eight golf courses with a sea or mountain view. The golf course at the Biarritz lighthouse has been welcoming players since 1888.
9 - The emblematic lighthouse of Biarritz
It is 73 metres high and was built in 1834. You will have 248 steps to climb, but the view is worth the detour. It also marks the boundary between the rocky cliffs of the Basque Country and the sandy beaches of the Landes. We never get tired of it!
10 - And finally, if you are hungry, here are our 3 good addresses of the moment!
In gastronomic mode, just in front of the Le Royal cinema, the restaurant L'Entre Deux. As its name says very well, we are between gastro and bistro, for our greatest pleasure.
To warm up, we like the cosy atmosphere both for our lunch breaks and in the evening as lovers or with friends! The decoration is contemporary and comfortable, and the dishes offered offer a good value for money!
We finish with the Café du Commerce, our canteen..... Always good, fast service and we love the atmosphere!
